Today's lesson

In today's lesson we have been looking as artists work and we have been trying to recreate that piece of work but basing it around our own idea, we have been looking at work from different artists like Neveil Brody.

Friday's Lesson

On Friday's lesson we was designing our own CD nets from looking at other designs, we was designing CD cases to develop our ideas and to give us a starting point to this project.

Album Cover Work

In today's lesson I have been working on designs of album covers, we have been cutting temples of album covers out and we have been trying to put the template together to make it look like what the final design of the template looks like. We have been doing this today to get some ideas for when we are designing our own template for our final album cover.

David Carson's Work (Oasis)

My second piece of work that I have done today is, I have taking a picture of the internet that reminds me of my memories and I have have edited this picture in David Carson's style. David Carson created the picture to do with the banana, so I have tried to create the same style of work but I have linked it to my memories.

David Carson's Work (Banana)

In todays lesson I have been basing my work around David Carson's work. Firstly I have tried editing a bunch of bananas just like David Carson did, the reason I have been basng my work around David Carson is because his work relates to the brief that I am doing at the moment.

In my graphic design lessons I have been working on my own work based around Neville Brody's work. this is the work i have produced so far:
 In this piece of work I still have to finish my work, i have to finish putting the rest of the little words around the outside and I may decide to put some more lyrics on them.

I have recreated the Nevil Brody work in photoshop. I found a font that looked just like Nevil Brody's work and then I wrote down all of the letters and then changed all the colours of the letters the the same colours that Nevil Brody used and then I just rubbed out the lines in the same place that he has done.

Chalk graffiti on black card!

In this piece of work I have looked at a piece of he graffiti from the artist T-kid, I have taken the style of his work and I have drawn one of my own pieces of graffiti but in T-kids style. (the piece of graffiti is in my setch book).

Graffiti on pryamids

This is my third mini project, I have taken I picture of the Egypt pryamids and I have put them into photoshop once I put them into photoshop I added about five or six different pieces of graffiti and I made the graffiti look like it was going up the pryamid:

Egypt and USA flag contrasting!

For my second mini project that i have done I have got the Egypt flag and the USA flag and I have taken the stars off of the USA flag and I have made a row of USA stars on the Egypt flag:

Drawings of Egypt Pryamids!

I have been working on my first mini project, it has been me drawing sketches of Egyptian pyramids and I have been trying to draw different textures onto them. For the first pryamid I did, I drew normal house hold bricks, for the second I have tried to draw shading onto the pyramid and then I have drawn some graffiti onto it, for the third one I have drawn jagged stones and I have made it look like there is cerement in between them. After I have drew all of these I thought that I would do a final sketch with all three of the textures onto one pyramid. and that is one of my pyramids. (picture is in my sletch book)

My mini-projects

In the past few lessons I have been working on some little mini project that I have created for myself and one of these mini projects are taking a Egyptian pyramid and drawing it out three times and trying to draw the pyramid with different textures on it, like for the first pyramid I put different types of graffiti going up the pyramid and then for the second pyramid I made it look like it was build out of cobble stone, and then for the third pyramid I made it look like the pyramid was build out of modern day bricks. Another mini project that I have done is I was trying to contrast the USA flag with the Egyptians flag, so what I did was put both of the flags onto photo shop and I just cut out the USA stars of the USA flag and then I put them onto the Egypt flag and I duplicated the stars about ten times so I could fill in the whole of the white layer on the Egyptians flag. For my third mini project I am going to try and edit some graffiti and try to add different colours and effects onto it. For my forth and final mini project I am going to try and draw a piece of T-kids style of graffiti and I am going to draw in on black card and its going to be drawn in chalk.

Photoshop effects

In today's lesson I have been looking at the different types of effects that I can use on photo shop, I have taken one of my photos to do with my final idea and I have edited it using photo shop. I tried four different effects on this photo, these were glowing edges, plastic wrap, patchwork and ink outlines. The one I was looking at the most was the ink outlines as I can use that for my final idea as I will be able to use it to really bring out the lines and drawing that I will put in my final idea. I also thought about using the glowing edges in my final idea as I am contrasting New York and Egypt so the glowing effect can really bring out the City of New York. All of these affects could help me with my final idea in a way, so I will most likely use all of these affects in my final product to make my final product the best that it can be.

Recently in Graphic Deisgns

I have been recently been been doing different pieces of work in graphic designs. I have been working on creating a picture out of polystyrene and have been using paint rollers to smother the piece of polystyrene in what ever colour paint I want and then i got a piece of A4 paper and put the piece of polystyrene with the paint on it onto the piece of A4 paper and then held it down for about two minutes and then pulled the polystyrene off and the picture that was on the polystyrene should be left on the piece of A4 paper and I did this in loads of different colours and then it looked like a piece of art. I have also done some chalk drawings, I did this on a A4 sheet of black cardboard paper and I drew a piece of graffiti onto the black piece of paper and then I and it looked like the piece of graffiti was flying though the black piece of paper! I have also been getting different pictures of egypt and I have also been getting different pictures of new york. For New York I have been getting pictures of graffiti and for egypt I have been getting pictures of hyrogliphics and I have been trying to merge them together.

My starting point!

This is going to be my starting point for my egyotian side, I am going to edit this phto and see what I can do to make it mix in the with graffiti of new yourk and surrounding areas.

This is going to be the graffiti I am going to use for my starting point of mixing egypt with new york. I will be trying to put pictures and stuff like the Efile tower behind and on the egyptian pyramids

My idea for contrasting New York and Egypt

I am going to contrast Egypt and New York, I am going to be focusing on the graffiti in New York. My idea is to get a Egyptian pyramid an I am going to put onto photoshop and I am going to get a picture of the city of New York and I am going to put the pyramid in the front of the picture and i am going to have graffiti going up the pyramid and then I am going to have the empire state building and I am going to put loads of Egyptian writiing going up the front and the sides of the building. Also I am going to make it so I have a really sunner sky with no clouds or nothing to block off then sun.

This is the man after I have edited him using the software photoshop. The reason he looks like this is becuase I have used loads of different filters like zig zag, which is the pattern on his shirt, I used this because it makes the picture look more interesting so its not just a plain white shirt.  I also changed the colour of the man, I did this because I thought if I changed the colour of the man then I could make the man look more cartoon and moire interesting and funny. I also changed the colour of his hair to give it that more cartoonie affect and I thought it looked good. I also used the checkered filter to make his shoes look better as i thought his shoes was a little plain before, as they was just plain black, so I thought if I used the checkered filter I would be able to make his shoes a little more interesting. there are a couple more filters but they was not that interesting it was just stuff like changing the colour of his trousers and stuff like that. The reason I have done this piece of work is because in this lesson we was trying to get to know how to use photoshop as it was one of our first lessons using the software so we edited this man so that we could see some of the things that you could do with photoshop.
